There is no niqab emoji — and the small industry that pretends otherwise

Search "niqab emoji" and the results are dominated not by Unicode's own records but by a cluster of third-party sites selling the idea of one — emoji-combination generators, an AI image tool, even a satirical news article. No proposal specifically for a niqab-type garment appears in Unicode's public emoji proposal chart. The one real emoji these sites borrow pieces from, 🧕, has a different, better-documented origin story of its own.
